Consider this…
Long ago in many ways and at many times God's prophets spoke His message to our
ancestors. But now at last God sent His son to bring His message to us.
God created the universe by His son, and everything will someday belong to the
Son.
God's Son has all the brightness of God's own glory and is like Him in
every way. By His own mighty word He holds the universe together.
After the Son had washed away our sins, He sat down at the right side of the
glorious God in heaven. He had become much greater than the angels, and
the name He was given is far greater than any of theirs.

Governance
of Catholic Schools in the Archdiocese of Santa Fe
-
The Archbishop
of Santa Fe is responsible for the educational apostolate of the Catholic
Church for the Archdiocese of Santa Fe.
-
The Pastor
is the archbishop's canonical representative and the primary administrator
for all parish ministries, including the school.
-
The Executive
Director of Pastoral Ministries reports to the archbishop and oversees
the ministry of Catholic schools.
-
The Superintendent
of Schools is delegated by the archbishop as the person responsible
for the supervision, coordination, and efficient operation of the schools
in the archdiocese. The superintendent reports to the archbishop and the
executive director of Pastoral Ministries and is the manager of the Catholic
Schools Office.
-
The Archdiocesan
School Advisory Council (SAC) is an advisory body whose purpose
is to advise the superintendent, promote Catholic education, and serve
as an appellate board. Voting members are one representative from each
of the archdiocesan SAC, while non-voting members are the archbishop, the
superintendent, directors of archdiocesan ministries, clerics, and principals.
The voting members are recommended by the school pastors and appointed
by the archbishop to staggered three-year terms.
-
The Principal
is responsible for the daily administration of the school and hires and
supervises the faculty and staff. Principals are supervised by the pastor
and the superintendent.
-
The Local
School Advisory Council (SAC) is an advisory body representative of
the local school community called to work closely with the pastor, principal,
superintendent, and the archdiocesan Council in a spirit of cooperation
and inter-dependence to support Catholic education. One representative
from each school Council serves on the archdiocesan Council.
Policies and
Guidelines
The
Handbook of Policies and Regulations contains the policies and guidelines
that govern the day-to-day activities and operation of the Catholic Schools
Office and the schools. A copy of the Handbook is available for
review upon request at each parish and school office, or at the Catholic
Schools Office. The superintendent conducts a policy in-service at the
beginning of each school year for new administrators and school pastors,
and principals are responsible to in-service school employees and the SAC
on the Handbook each year and within 60 days of a new release. Each
school publishes its own faculty and parent/student handbooks, and the
principal is responsible to in-service the employees and SAC on its policies.
Parents are required to review the policies with their student to ensure
that they understand them, and to sign a cover page to indicate agreement
and acceptance with the policies.

The development
of an effective educational ministry depends on the ability of persons,
individually and in association, to collaborate. Collaboration depends
upon appropriate knowledge of relational and organizational behavior, a
personal identity secure enough to deal objectively with divisive issues
and situations, and interpersonal and managerial skills.
